Art Classes

Cove Creators - artful experiences for curious kids, teens, and adults!

Cove Creators is a hands-on art series facilitated by JRose Creations, designed to spark imagination, build skills, and give participants space to explore their creativity in new ways. From playful sensory experiences for our youngest artists to bold, skill-building projects for teens and adults, each session invites participants to experiment, create, and take pride in what they make.

Join us every other Thursday and Saturday from April through May - there’s something for every age and stage! Classes are free with membership or the purchase of a daily pass for each participant. A caretaker must attend Thursday classes with their child(ren) but will not be required to purchase a pass.

A caretaker is not required for Saturday classes and teenagers can be dropped off without a guardian.

MINI CAMPS

Outdoor Skillz 101
June 22–24

Kick off summer with outdoor adventure! Campers will learn beginner-friendly skills like pitching a tent, making fire starters, and exploring simple nature-based experiments.

This camp is perfect for curious kids who love being outside, getting a little messy, and learning how things work in the natural world.

Magical Makers
July 20–22

Step into a world of imagination and wonder! Campers will explore stories of fairies, trolls, elves, and other magical beings while designing and creating their own one-of-a-kind creatures.

Each child will also build a fairy house to be featured in our Fairy Village fundraiser later this fall - a magical way to be part of something bigger!

Critter Crew
August 10–12

Animal lovers, this one’s for you! Campers will create their own animal puppets and learn about creatures big and small.

This camp includes a special visit from our friends at Chahinkapa Zoo, giving kids an up-close look at real animals and the chance to connect creativity with the natural world.

This work is funded in part by MHC with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
