Festival of Lights 2025

The Festival of Lights is a beloved Fergus Falls tradition that brings our whole community together in a bright and joyful way. Local organizations and businesses create stunning lighted displays that line the route through the historic Kirkbride campus, offering families a magical drive-through experience from December 3-13. Otter Cove Children’s Museum is proud to facilitate this community celebration - helping fill the winter nights with creativity, color, and a little extra wonder. The Festival of Lights is one of the primary fundraisers supporting our nonprofit children’s museum.

This year, our kickoff event will be December 3 from 4:30-6:00 pm. Be among the first to see this year’s lights, visit with Santa, enjoy some hot cocoa from Caribou Coffee, and listen to seasonal music from Leighton Media! The first 100 children will receive a cookie from Peney Cakes.

From December 3-13, the displays will be lit each night from 5:00-9:00 pm. Otter Cove staff, board members, sponsors, and volunteers will be on hand to collect free-will donations in support of Otter Cove Children’s Museum.
